Day trip to Mosman

On Saturday I caught the bus to Mosman to see my chum Natalie. We had a cute brunch at a creperie, chatted in her lovely grandmother's house and then popped down to Balmoral Breach for further chatting and even joined in on some weddings.

Lovely to catch up again!

HSC Encore 2013

On Monday I watched one of my school besties Kade Brown play the Concert Hall at the Sydney Opera house with a few other incredibly talented young musicians. I can't even tell you how proud I am of him! It was a fantastic show and I'm so glad I was able to go along and support him. If you get the chance next year, I'd definitely reccomend going along.

I was bursting with pride! (His lovely dad took this photo)

What I've been up to #2

I had a splendid weekend; on Saturday I baked brownies for my friend/almost cousin Ewen who is 21 today! Then we headed to Coogee beach for a couple of hours of chatting and people watching in the sunshine.
After a bit of ukulele playing, we met up with my dear friend from school Chloe. We've known each other for over 13 years! We talked and drank tea up on the roof at college for a few hours, watching the weekly fireworks at darling harbour from the comfort of our deck chairs.
Sunday included a tour of uni for my school friend and a walk down to Wentworth Park. In the evening I ventured down to Black Wattle Bay. The view there is divine, and I have a few snaps to share.

Such a great time with such wonderful friends!

Holi festival

Last Sunday a few college girls drove out to coogee beach for the USYD/UTS Holi Festival. It's a Hindu tradition where participants throw coloured powders at each other in celebration of the demise of the demon Holi. (Or so says Wikipedia, feel free to correct me). It was absolutely pouring rain, which only made the due stuck better! Such a fun afternoon with new friends.

Happy Holi!

Siblings on Saturday

I had a lovely day out with my brother and sister. Here is the evidence:
Iced chocolate in Glebe
Lunch in Victoria Park
Delicious savoury pastries from La Banette on glebe point road
The Living Mall in Central Park
The ceiling of the living mall is a water feature
DIY street art
Looking out from the top floor

We finished the day with takeaway Thai watching the Darling Harbour fireworks from the roof of my college.

Sunday swim

Vaucluse Bay was lovely this morning, clear water and sunny skies.
We stopped by Westfield Bondi Junction, how cute is this sleeping puppy?
Vaucluse is very beautiful, full of beautiful houses, parks, and even this adorable cottage.
Thanks for reading,

What I've been up to #1

After 3 hours of Human Biology, Chemistry and Psychology lectures I was ready for a nap, but instead I wandered down to Officeworks, a short walk from my college. I've never seen so much stationary in my life! I picked up a few essentials like folders and plastic sleeves, but this floral spiral bound notebook was too pretty to pass up. I think it will be a nice biology note book. The lovely man at the front counter kindly gave me a box to carry my bits and bobs back up the street.

I also picked up these adorable chemistry cat pyjama pants from Kmart. One day I'll be brave enough to wear them to chemistry class! They only set me back $8 too.

On my way back from the shops I popped into La Banette, a cute French patisserie on Glebe Point Road, recommended by a friend. The almond croissant was tasty, but I'm excited to try some savoury offerings next time. The display was the best part, so delicate and beautiful!

All in all, a lovely afternoon.
